Community Justice Program
Whitecap Dakota First Nation has a Community Justice Program to work with community members who need assistance with justice related matters.
Alternative Measures Program (Mediation)
Mediation is a form of restorative justice that provides healing and harmony for people. The victim and offender meet and talk about how the crime has affected them. They also decide an agreement that works for everyone, so that the court system may be avoided.
Fine Option Program
If you have a fine to work off, then the John Howard Society will refer you to Whitecap. Once here, hours will be worked at Public Works or another appropriate placement.
Youth Prevention Program
Cadets Program: a crime-prevention program that collaborates with the RCMP to promote healthy activities
Safe Spaces School Program: a school program to teach Grade 2, 3, and 4 social, emotional, and conflict resolution skills
Justice related inquiries can be made from 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday by calling 306-373-4600. Referrals and resources will be provided at your request.
